About this item
An unusual shaped,19th century, French glass storage jar. This would probably have been an apothecary jar for use in a pharmacy. It is a very elegant, flattened oval shape, on a single knopped stem, and the stopper has a long, elliptical cut. It dates from c.1880 and is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 46cm. Diameter of foot 10 cm. Width of jar 9cm.
