About this item
We adore the clean and contemporary design by Schleusing on the East German poster for Love with the Proper Stranger. It has a striking simplicity that feels modern and understated, standing out from more conventional film posters of its time.
The film, directed by Robert Mulligan, is a romantic drama set in New York, focusing on a brief but emotionally complicated relationship between a young woman played by Natalie Wood and a musician played by Steve McQueen. It explores questions of independence, responsibility, and social pressure, grounded in a realistic portrayal of urban life in the early 1960s.
This vintage move poster is sized 22 1/2 x 31 7/8 inches. It will be sent rolled (unframed)
