DE0911 RECLAIMED PAINTED PINE EXTERNAL DOOR IN FRAME / GARDEN GATE
A reclaimed, antique, pine painted external door in frame likely date to C.1900. The door in frame has a rustic / country planked appearance and is suitable for use as a garden gate, for a shed or outbuilding perhaps. The door comprises of 3 pine planks and one further thinner pine strip and the back of the door has 4 ledges. The door is set into a thick pine frame. The door and frame has retained its vintage dark green paint but there are some marks, chips and wear and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint it to suit. The door has two traditional style iron strap hinges, a thumb latch and bolt. The door is in solid condition with some signs of wear and damage, as expected of antique items. The door has knocks, chips and small holes. There are some small holes and marks where hardware has been removed. One of the pine planks has an area of missing wood where there was a knot. There is some damage to the base of the door and to the frame. There are some treated woodworm holes, mainly to the frame but also some to the door. The base of the frame has some damage and rot or wear. The inside base edge of the door has had a wooden baton applied. The outer edge of the door has had a patch repair. The door hardware has some knocks and marks. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a good period / country appearance and would make a nice addition to a garden or outbuilding.
