    About this item

This is an ancient Roman bronze signet ring, dating to the 2nd - 3rd century A.D. It is of a Heing type VIII, with D-shaped hoop. The bezel is stepped when seen from the side, mimicking an intaglio in a high sided setting. It is engraved with a design of a plough or ard within a crop. A good excavated example in wearable condition.
