About this item

A rare Sudanese warriors Shield dating to the 19th Century. These Shields were crafted from Elephant or Rhinoceros hide by the Beja tribe who were nomadic shepherding people largely from Sudan and southern Egypt. A wonderful piece of African tribal history.

Conidtion commensurate with age and use. Some white house paint to the inner rim.
