Early Tin Lithograph Tray
VICTORIAN FEEDING DOGS
c 1930
This large platter tray was originally part of a child's toy tea set. It is lithographed in a multi color motif with a rich patina. Measuring 11 inches long x 8 1/2 inches wide with a rolled lip to the rim.
The tray or small platter is decorated with Victorian period dressed children feeding a plethora of dogs.
children and squirrels with their favorite pastimes. The piece is unmarked and based on the style of dress, we would date the set to the early 20th century.
The platter tray is in good condition with wear and scratching and very light rusting spots consistent with age per photos. A delightful example of early litho toys and dollhouse tea sets, with irresistible themes of childrens life outdoors.
