About this item
Oliver Hall was born in London and studied at the Royal College of Art between 1887 and 1890 before attending Westminster and Lambeth Schools of Art. He travelled widely in the UK and on the continent and began exhibiting at RA in 1890, being elected RA in 1927 and Senior Academician in 1945. He also exhibited at the RWS, Fine Art Society, RE, Leicester Galleries and many other London galleries. He held his first one man show at Dowdeswell Gallery in 1898 and his work is represented in many public collections including the Tate Gallery.
"Richmond and the Swale" is an oil painting on canvas by Hall. It measures 18"x 24" and is signed lower left and is framed giving an overall size of 21"x 27".
