About this item
There's alot going on here! A wonderful heavily carved Oak wine cellarette or wine cooler dating to the 19th century possibly originating Northern Italy.
Pure indulgence by its maker it has to be said as it is elborately carved with Bacchanalian Cherubs playing instruments, wreaths, swags, flowerheads and shells to three sides. The top is decorated with a gadrooned edge with lower edges decorated with fauna and flowers. The inside is lined with zinc and has space for eight large bottles. All this terminates on four castors for ease of movement around the home or to the next party!
Condition commensurate with age and use. Some tears and losses to the zinc lining.
