About this item
This Derby porcelain coffee can and saucer is decorated with the gilt pattern 561. The pattern is described in the pattern books as 'A deep outer border of leaf and seaweed design between two gilt borders'. The mark on the base is the the crown and crossed batons, painted in puce. There is also a painted 'A', in puce, on the base under the handle of the cup. There are two very small chips to the footrim of the saucer and a two small chips to the base of the cup. There is also some slight loss of the gilding to the high points and the rim of both pieces.
