About this item
These cushions are so pretty!! They are made from a pair of vintage chakla from the Ahir community in India. The needlework is exquisite, on a dark grey cotton ground and is in varying colours, mainly yellow, orange, pink and off white. The chakla have a border of dark pink which is lovely with the grey and is secured by tiny hand stitching.
The mirror work is sound and held in place with good secure stitches, although I would not recommend these cushions for an area with young children. The cushions are backed with a sturdy natural coloured linen, and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
Overall they are a delightful decorative pair of cushions.
The dimensions given are approximate as there is a little variation in sizes.
