A magnificent earthenware painted teapot from the early 19thc, stamped Harley on the base for Thomas Harley (1778 - 1832) who had a pottery in Longton, Lancashire....it has a pleasing octagonal shape with elegant handle and spout, topped off with a swan for the handle of the lid, bordered by a serrated edge.....it is beautifully painted and shows a chinese family together in their garden in front of a pagoda....no restoration or damage.
