About this item
A very attractive, early 19th century, pearlware jug with transfer printed and enamelled decoration. This is decorated with an outlined brown transfer, chinoiserie print showing oriental figures and buildings in a landscape. This is then coloured in polychrome enamels and the overall effect is very pleasing. It dates from c.1820 and is in very good condition. There is a very feint hairline in the base which does not go through to the interior.
Dimensions: Height 12.5cm. Width 14cm. Diameter 10.5cm.
