About this item
A good quality, Victorian copper mould with a chain link to the top. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham’s, above the pattern number ‘470’. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a fleur de lys. There is a further mark to the side in the form of a series of small dots. This may have been added as a means of identification. The mould is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it is in excellent condition. The tinning, to the interior, is slightly worn but it could still be used.
