    About this item

    A mid sized, Victorian copper jelly mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham’s above a pattern number ’541’. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a radiating sun. The mould is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of eight round topped, wrythen columns. There is slight marking to the copper, particularly on the top of the mould, but otherwise it is in good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
