About this item
An interesting, Victorian copper mould by Benhams. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number “76A”. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a heart. The mould has fluted sides which overlap around the top to form a type of rope twist. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. It is in excellent condition and the interior is still in good condition. Although it is no longer shiny the tinning is still good enough for the mould to be used.
