    Written in Latin by William Camden, Clarenceux, King at Arms: and translated into English, with additions and improvements.
    The second edition. Revised, digested, and published, with large additions, by Edmund Gibson, D. D. Rector of Lambeth; and now Bishop of Lincoln, and Dean of His Majesty's Chapel-Royal
    Title pages in red and black, copper-engraved frontispiece portrait of Camden, 10 plates of coins and antiquities, 51 folding or double-page maps by Robert Morden (including 42 county maps), additional engravings and woodcut illustrations in text.
    Printed in double columns. Bound in 18th century panelled calf, rebacked in sympathetic style with 6 raised bands and red morocco gilt title labels, other repairs to the corners, a well bound set, folio.

    Condition: A very well presented set, the pages are clean and all the maps with good clean deep impressions. One page with a small loss to the lower corner of clxxviii.
