    About this item

An attractive, late Victorian cast iron book press or printer's copying press, dating to around the 1890s. It is made of solid iron with two plates that are opened and closed with a screw on the top. This would have been a vital part of a 19th century printer's or bookbinder's workshop. It still functions perfectly but is also ideal as a decorative piece.
