    About this item

An early 19th century child’s plate transfer printed with the name “JOHN”. To the reverse the plate has an impressed mark “ROGERS”. This is the mark of John Rogers and Son of Dale Hall, Longport, Staffordshire who were trading from 1814 to 1836 and it dates from c.1820. The border is moulded with fruits and flowers which are coloured in dark red, blue and green enamels and the central, printed name is within a foliate cartouche.

There is very slight staining, mainly to the reverse of the plate, and there is the tiniest glaze flake to the rim, but otherwise it is in very good condition.

    Dimensions: Diameter 13.6cm. Depth 1.9cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
