About this item
A 19th century copper “Pennytop” mould. The design on the top of this mould consists of overlapping circles which resemble old copper pennies, hence the name given to it. The mould is English and it dates from c.1870. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and has a castellated seam down the side. It is stamped with a pattern number “28”.
Condition: Very good but the tinning is very worn so it could not be used.
Dimensions: Diameter 13cm. Height 10cm.
