About this item
An eighteenth century, pierced creamware tea strainer. This is quite an unusual form. The two twisted, twig handles, with foliate terminals allow the strainer to sit over the teacup or tea bowl. It is finely potted, with geometric piercing and a beaded rim.
English creamware: Leeds. c.1780
Dimensions: Diameter 8.8cm. Width 12.2cm. Height 2.2cm.
Condition: Chip to the rim, visible in the images.
