DB0797 RECLAIMED ARTS & CRAFTS OAK INTERNAL / EXTERNAL DOOR

A handsome reclaimed Arts & Crafts oak door suitable for internal or perhaps external use. The door, C.1910, has been well made and is very heavy. The door has two recessed panels with mouldings around them on one side and above these there are two panels, each fitted with 8 small glass pieces, with elegant oak glazing bead in-between each. PLEASE NOTE: The glass DOES NOT MEET CURRENT SAFETY STANDARDS and MUST be changed before use. The oak has a nice grain and has had a varnished finish but there are some scratches, scuffs and losses to the finish and you may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit.

The door is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and some damage, as expected. The door has some knocks, chips and there are some indentations where it has been knocked. There is a crack to one side of the door, near one of the hinges. The door has some holes, marks and some light damage from hardware removal. One of the panels has a split and you may wish to carry out some repairs to this, should you wish to use the door externally. The hinges have some tarnish and paint residue. The door height may need some levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a handsome appearance and it would make a very nice feature for a home.
