    About this item

Two pairs of Regency reclaimed wooden conservatory / orangery windows. The windows have a beautiful and elegant design with diamond and triangular glazed panels in the centre of the windows and rectangular panels around the outside edges. The windows have pretty cast lead flower detailing on the inside face. Each pair has rebated inner edges so they sit nicely together when closed and the inside faces of the windows have catches. The windows have been glazed with clear glass but please note that the glass is thin and depending on where you plan to place the windows they may not meet current safety regulations. We can offer to have the windows filmed with a safety film, for an EXTRA CHARGE. Please contact us for a quote for safety film or speak to your builder about current safety regulations.

The wood has been painted white but there are chips, flaking and marks to the paint and you may wish to sand and re-finish the windows to suit. The windows are in solid condition with some signs of wear and some damage, as expected, due to their considerable age. There are some cracks to some of the glass panes. There are some knocks and chips to the wood and the drip bars have some wear. One pair of windows has some damage to a rebated inner edge, where it is cracked and loose. Some of the outer edges are slightly uneven. Some of the glazing putty is missing and some has cracks. One corner has had a modern bracket attached to it to strengthen it. The hinges have paint and tarnish on them. Please see pictures for condition details. The windows are very fine Regency items and they would be ideal for an orangery or greenhouse or they could be perfect for a project, such as converting them into decorative mirrors. The windows are very desirable and have a wonderful look.
