A Meiji period Shibayama fire screen, the red lacquer ground decorated with painted flowers and gilded highlights, the centre black ground panel having Shibayama decoration with doves, flowering fauna, tree stump and butterflies in bone,, wood and mother of pearl. The reverse decorated with flowering trees and Mount Fuji, the whole in good condition. Dimensions:- Height…36’’/ 91.5cm. Width…27.5’’/ 70cm. Depth…10.25’’/ 26cm.
