New Hall porcelain true trio, one each tea, coffee cup and saucer.
Decorated in patten number 540
Coffee Cup: 2 ½ “ (6 cm) high by 2 ½ “ (6 ½ cm) across the top
Tea Cup: 2 ¼ “ (6cm) high by 3 ¼ “ (8 cm) across the top
Saucer: 5 ¼ “ (13 ½ cm) across
Maker: New Hall pattern number 540.
There are no makers marks (as is usual for New Hall) other than a painters mark. The pattern is shown in the New Hall pattern book by Patricia Preller
The pattern was in use from 1795 - 1810
Condition: There is wear to the gilding particularly on some of the rims, handles and the centre of the saucer. The tea cup has a small stain in the glaze on the bottom of the base (probably from manufacture)
