Pratt Ware Jug 'Woodcock Shooting'
A pearlware jug moulded with a continuous scene showing men shooting woodcocks. This design was taken from a painting by Samuel Howitt and was later reproduced in 1807 by Daniel Orme as one of a series of sporting prints. To the rim and the foot are foliate borders. The central band is coloured in typical Pratt shades of green, blue, brown and ochre.
There are two chips, one to the spout and one to the foot, but otherwise it is in good condition.
