About this item
A fine bell striking Capucine, carriage clock with alarm. This fine and rare clock is in very original condition and has developed a beautiful patina. Bell striking on the hour and two minutes after the hour, sometimes called vineyard striking, with one blow on the bell for the half hour. The side door has a small trip repeat lever cleverly positioned. The dial is signed Migear, a clockmaker of Toulouse who made the clock circa 1840. Four turned finials and typical flattened loop handle. Hinged doors to all sides with a simple latch to the rear. An attractive dial bezel showing cast stars. Fully restored and sold with a full 12 month guarantee . The dial showing Roman numerals with the blued steel Breguet hands with alarm hand.
