About this item
A nineteenth century, pearlware plate, with an arcaded border, moulded with a basket weave design. This is boldly decorated with flowers and foliage in pink, red, blue, yellow and green enamels. Although unmarked, it is probably from the Swansea pottery and it dates from c.1820. There are two hairline cracks to the rim and staining to the reverse of the plate.
Dimensions: Diameter 19.8cm. Depth 2.5cm.
