    About this item

A very unusual, copper pudding steamer/mould with cover. This would have sat over a pan of boiling water and it would turn out a steamed pudding with a stylised star shaped flower design to the top. It is probably French and it dates from c.1890. There are long loop handles to the sides, so that it will sit over the saucepan, and there is a strap handle to the lid. Under this lid is a ventilation funnel so that the steam can escape from the pudding. This is the first example of this form that we have had and it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is still good enough for the piece to be used.

Overall dimensions: Diameter 9.5cm. Width 17.8cm. Height 12.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
