Vintage French Chocolate Advertising Clock

Vintage 'Tolework' Advertising Clock from France for 'Chocolat Revillon'. Made as a point-of-sale advertisement, it was traditionally found in shops and cafés all over France from the 1920s to the 1950s. The wavy outer shape, known as 'oeil de boeuf' (bullseye) mimics traditional French wall clocks of the 19th century. This is reasonably good example with some wear to the lettering. The clock has its original original brass wind-up pendulum movement. Measures 23 inches high x 17 wide.
