About this item
A rare Victorian antique silver gilt and green glass double scent bottle and vinaigrette. Made in Birmingham in 1868 by Jane Brownett. One end has a hinged gilt cap with a sprung inner lid, the other end has a screw off cap with an inner cork seal. The bottle is hinged in the center to open and reveal a vinaigrette with a lift out intricate grill. Both scent bottles are dark green faceted glass in excellent condition. Over all there are crisp hallmarks and except for one tiny ding the bottle is in superb undamaged condition. A very collectable piece and it would grace any collection.
