Zhuang Yellow Cushions With Tassels

I love these cushions. They are made from a panel from a vintage Zhuang minority wedding blanket that was originally a terracotta colour from the mineral dye senna. After a special bath the colour has lightened to a this beautiful yellow ochre. I've backed the cushions with a vintage cotton textile from the Han Chinese. This is a warm dark brown colour with a dark green pinstripe running through it. This brown textile is early and quite rare. I've added warm dusty pink tassels and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
