Iain and Avril Marr established Iain Marr Antiques in 1975 in the highland village of Beauly where Iain was born. Iain Marr Antiques is the longest established Antique business in the Highlands of Scotland. Ensuring the business remains an independent family owned business, Sarah, their daughter is now a partner. The business is the only member of the London & Provincial Antique Dealers Association in the north of Scotland and is a member of The Silver Society, Iain was a founder member of Sotheby’s.com.
Iain Marr Antiques's shop stocks high quality antique silver, jewellery, paintings, furniture, clocks, militaria, porcelain and glass. The shop specialises in Scottish provincial silver, currently offering silver from Tain, Inverness, Perth, Dundee, Paisley and Aberdeen in their constantly changing stock. The privately sourced items represent a wide span of time from Neolithic flints, Roman coins and Jacobite items to late 20th century ceramics.
