About this item
This pair of cushions is made from a thick handloomed cotton shawl from Rote island Indonesia. I sometimes purchase contemporary handloomed textiles to support the weaving communities and help to keep these traditional skills alive. The ikat has been coloured with a natural dye and is a pretty coral colour. I've used the fringed ends of the shawl for the sides of the cushion. The ikat is used for both sides of the cushions and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
