About this item
These two cushions are made from a vintage Sumba sarong. It is woven in thick cotton and dyed with natural dyes, such as the morinda root for reds and and a relative of turmeric for the yellow. The symbols represent an ancient unadorned human form representing the virtues of humbleness and humility for the wearer. The backs of the cushions are also from the sarong and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
