    About this item

    Augustus William Ennes studied at the Slade School of Art and the Academie Julian in Paris. He was a landscape and still life painter and worked mostly in oils. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes, Paris, Royal Academy, Royal Institute of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art.

    The present painting is a charming still life oil painting on board. It is signed lower left and is in a gilt frame giving an overall size of 16"x 15". On the back is a nice old label for the Fine Art Society with the title and name of the artist.
