About this item
Sitting on top of this wonderfully turned and carved wooden needle holder are three squirrels, all eating nuts held in their paws. As you move down from the squirrels, you find different bands of carving to the body, some of which are very delicately done. Made of pine, it stands 108 mm (4.25 inches) high and measures 32 mm (1.25 inches) across the base. Two of the squirrels have lost an ear, otherwise it is in very good condition. It would probably date from the late 1800's
