About this item
This is an immaculate 20th Century Vintage Antique-cased Taxidermy mount of two large Rainbow Trout set within a naturalistic river bed with reeds and weeds.
From the 'Kevin Gittoes' collection. (See 'Daily Mirror - 1st March 2022) with newspaper heading: ''Husband's secret collection hidden in loft sells at auction for £11.000 after he dies''.
The impressive piece is mounted within a large 3-sided glass display case with the original label attached verso for Taxidermist A.E. Hall, Inkberrow, Worcestershire.
The case can be either displayed on a wall or on a tabletop.
It is one of the most impressive-looking braces of Trout that we have seen for a very long time. Indeed, the poor images do not do it justice!
Inside the case (centre-bottom) is an aluminium presentation plaque plate that states the weight of each fish (9lb & 8 I/2 lb) together with the location of where they were caught.
