    About this item

    Frank Saltfleet was a Sheffield landscape and marine painter in watercolours. He exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours from 1892 and was a frequent summer visitor to Staithes. His work is influenced by Harold Knight and J.R.Bagshaw, although he never exhibited with the group, preferring to exhibit in his native Sheffield. He was president of the Sheffield Society of Artists.

    The present painting "The Logging Cart" is a watercolour measuring 13"x 19" and is mounted and framed giving an overall size of  20"x 26".
