A very inviting and expressive modernist coastal landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas.
This beautiful and scenic composition of nature has been separated into three distinct parts. In the foreground, a red farmhouse punctuates a lush green meadow. In the middle ground, a vast midnight blue ocean takes its space, and we can see a blue sky with clouds leading out into the horizon in the background.
The painting invites us to pay close attention to colour, as the artist has used the richness and beauty of each shade to draw us in. The strong contrast in colours as well as the use of distinct multi-directional brushstrokes also help to demonstrate depth to the painting.
This painting is housed in a complementary silver floater frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame has light scuffs to its corners.
