    About this item

    Jessie Hall SWA was born in 1858. She was a watercolour painter who studied under Frank Calderon. Living in Croydon she exhibited mostly watercolours at the Society of Women Artists where she showed numerous works, and also at RA, RI, RBA, and The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.

    "Homeward Bound" is a lovely example of her work. Measuring 16" x 20" it is signed lower right and inscribed on the back with the title "Homeward Bound". It is framed in a good "Watts" type gilt frame giving an overall size of 23"x 27".
