About this item
A huge, 19th century, French copper mould. Moulds of this size are quite uncommon and very hard to find. They were generally used for baking cakes as edible jelly does not stand more than 6 inches high. The design consists of two tiers of fluted columns with the top section narrowing to a central disc. The mould is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. There are numerous small pinholes to the high points of the mould and the tinning, to the interior, is worn, but it is still a very decorative piece.
Dimensions: Height 24cm. Diameter 22cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25. Most of Western Europe add £10.
