About this item
A nice quality, Victorian copper mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number ’402’. Close to this is a workman’s mark in the shape of a cross. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of eight alternating, fancy columns, some rounded and the other more angular. It is in excellent condition but the tinning to the interior is worn.
