About this item
A nice quality, Victorian copper mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham’s above a pattern number ’448’. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a small circle. The mould is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of six round topped columns which are divided by elaborate scrolls. The mould is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
