About this item
A nineteenth century, circular, copper, fancy border mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number ‘490’. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a Fleur de Lys. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design, which consists of 24 angular columns, is one that displays well either on a shelf or hanging on a wall. There are a couple of very tiny dents to the mould and there is also a very small split to the top of one of the columns which can only be seen when you hold the mould up to the light. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Height 6.4cm. Diameter 17cm.
