About this item
A good quality, Victorian, oval copper mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number ’637’. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a stylised flower. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design has eight spiralling columns each with small dome tops and three panelled bases. The mould is in excellent condition and the tinning to the interior, although dark, is still good enough for occasional use.
Dimensions: Length 16cm. Width 11cm. Height 11cm.
