About this item
A 19th century copper mould made by Benhams. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number ’481’. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a heart. It is also engraved with large “W” beneath a crown so it has come from an aristocratic household. This particular style of crown is that of a Baron. The design has six plain columns with small dome tops, each with four flattened sides. The mould is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. It is in very good condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Height 11.5cm. Diameter 12.2cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
