About this item
A fabulous, 19th century, French copper mould. The design to the top of this mould is really unusual and has a Celtic influence, resembling a Celtic knot. Celtic knots are complete loops that have no start or finish and could be said to represent eternity whether this means loyalty, faith, friendship or love. Only one thread is used in each design which symbolizes how life and eternity are interconnected. The mould is very well made, from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870.
Condition: Exterior excellent. The tinning, to the interior, is still usable.
Dimensions: Diameter 16.2cm. Height 16cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Extra shipping U.S.A. add £20. Western Europe add £10.
