About this item
A nineteenth century, copper mould with a penny top design to the top. This mould is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper. It is probably French and it dates from c.1870. It has a band of overlapping circles to the top above fluted sides and the tops of the flutes give the impression of a flower. The top is engraved with the initials “J.G.M”. These would have been the initials of a previous owner. The side is stamped with a pattern number “397”.
It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Height 9.6cm. Diameter 10.7cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
