About this item
A fine example of a late 19thc brass pipe tamper, which unscrews to reveal a pricker, that would be used to clean out the hole in the bowl of the pipe...which can get tarred up with burnt tobacco...it is also a seal with the owners initials W.P.....it has crosshatch decoration on the base....in very good condition and must certainly be one for the collector..!
