About this item
An attractive, and decorative, Victorian copper mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham above the pattern number ’183’. To the opposite end is a circular workman’s mark. The design consists of six very angular columns with star shaped tops. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870.
Condition: There is a small repair to the top of the mould on the star shape at one end. The seam at that point has been brazed and soldered. This can be seen in a couple of the images.
Dimensions: Length 14.4cm. Width 10.3cm. Height 10cm.
